How Matters.

My Vision for Barrington

Barrington is a remarkable community that deserves strong management.

My primary goal is to improve how our local government works, ensuring decisions are made thoughtfully, transparently, and efficiently on behalf of every resident.

I believe our Town Council works best when it focuses on doing a few important things exceptionally well.

How does that happen? It means prioritizing, asking difficult questions, carefully considering alternatives, and actively seeking input before major decisions are made.

When challenging decisions arise, I believe we should:

  • Listen First Every resident deserves to be heard.

  • Lead with Facts Good decisions come from careful analysis and informed discussion.

  • Work Together The best solutions are built through collaboration and mutual respect of varying views.

  • Deliver Results Ideas matter, but follow-through matters even more.

These principles lead to better decisions and greater public confidence. Four areas where I particularly want to apply this style of governing and focus:

  • Fiscal Stewardship (incl. FTR & COA reforms)

  • Housing Planning

  • Infrastructure (i.e., street repaving, sidewalks, parks)

  • Small Business Support

Why I’m Running

Barrington faces important decisions about growth, infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, and how to preserve the qualities that make it special. These challenges require leaders who are prepared to listen carefully, analyze issues thoughtfully, and bring people together to develop practical solutions.

Throughout my career and community work, I've learned that the best outcomes come from asking good questions, listening to diverse perspectives, recognizing trade-offs, and doing the hard work.

I don't pretend to have every answer. But, I do promise to approach every decision with integrity, an open mind, transparency, humility, and a commitment to doing my best to serve the residents of Barrington.
